I have been a member of The Diesel Garage for a little while now and got directed over here. I just had a quick question. Based on the mods in my sig, what else would I have to do to be some what competitive at my local pulls. I have never pulled before but would like to do it every once in awhile. Any help would be appreciated.

In the stock class, I assume? A set of traction bars and a good hitch as close to the bumper as possible.

and maybe some suspension stops, if allowed.

Which tune should I run while pulling? My daily driver tune is my 140hp from Cale @ BTS. I'm in the process of having some traction bars built for my truck, and I can get my hands on a good hitch for free, I just have to return it. What else should I know, such as what gear? I have been told to put it in 3rd gear in 4 low for the best results. Like I said I have never pulled the truck, so forgive me for asking so many questions.

run with the highest hp tune you have and try different gears to see what works best with what you have.

First pull is July 10th. Going to spend this weekend building some traction bars. Hopefully I can get everything dialed in and my nervs down when I start to pull. Based from what I have read and seen on the track, I will be pulling in 4 low in 3rd gear with my 140 horse tune. I will post a video if I can convince the wife to video tape it.
