Have you Ford guys figured out why your trucks hop/chatter at some of the pulls & not at others? Seems the straight axle trucks in general do it more.
Any ideas?
Too much traction/not enough traction
Loose frontend parts
Tire too big/not big enough
Can you change it by launching different
More or less weight in the truck
Just some thoughts

Normally dodges dont hop because of the 4 link front end. Fords normally hop I believe when they have leaf springs up front. My truck didnt hop at ft myers this time but in the past it has due to the sand. If you blow out the tires by spooling on a sandy track sometimes you can get past the chatter from the sand, but you need to have enough tire speed. I have no idea what Im talking about but it sounds good to me.:alien:

I know you guys are talking about me, because I am the only leaf sprung sraight axle ford that pulls:rolleyes:. I am working on some things, so well see what happens at the next pull.

Not true Kyle, I have seen Falconer chatter, Tim Millers ford, white twinned dodge also. I can't remember if Mike Peters ever did,if it wasn't him the was another ford same color as his.

IFS truck's Rule;)

Beyond that......Need more wheel speed. Slow tires do wierd stuff.
