I have been contacted by many trucks in other states by PM about the Inverness pull. They all want to come down but without a good payout they havent been able. This includes trucks from TN, KY, IL, and VA so far that I can remember. Well we may have something good for FL pulling. I was just contacted by Ron Knoch President of NADM. They want to put up money for the diesel classes at the Inverness pull. Stay tuned I'll let you know.

I like the work stock and 2.6 class rules. Not sure about the 2.8 and 3.2 classes with what we have around here.

Bringing in payouts is a good & bad thing. Those rules look like a condensed version of NADM... correct? I like them, I've been pushing for consistancy in the rules as you have Mike for years. But will NADM only allow you to only use some of their rules if they supply a payout?

The Good: You will get more & better quality trucks here
The Bad: Money changes everything. This is the natural progression. It becomes no longer a "just for fun" or "bragging rights" deal. When payouts are on the line tech has to be stepped up or in our case started. If not quality trucks will not keep coming back if they get beat and find out rules are not being followed. I have knowlege of at least 3 Diesels that pulled with SFTP last year that sprayed NOS & another 1 with W/M. In a class of 10 to 15 trucks that's a bunch that I know of and I'm not even in the loop anymore. With the big time comes obstacles to overcome.

Are we talking for this weekends pull? If so, IMO it's too late to set all this up.

I am more than willing to put up some money, etc. for the Inverness Pull, but it would not be until 2011 pull.

True. But if Inverness is going to be the pull every year to bring down trucks something will have to change. If NADM puts up some money this year it may start something for next year. Wont be that hard to have a better tech next year. If we can get something started this year with NADM then we have a better chance with them again next year. Besides something may come up this year like Brooksville that they may get involved with. Lets not be afraid of what we really want. I know there will be changes. JMO

This was about money for the inverness pull. This is my PM's on compD.

This year is kind of tight but what if we paid a little payout on the diesel classes?

Who would I talk to about that?

Ron Knoch
President
NADM
National Association of Diesel Motorsports

then I got this as a follow up

Mike,

Thanks

Ill call him tomorrow and see what we can do!
