ZF 5spd

I have a 1997 F350 with a 5 spd manual. has any one done any serious pulling with this transmission? Im want to build a 500 hp engine but im not sure if my transmission will hold up.

it wont handle the abuse that a nv 4500 or 5600 tranny will but as long as u arnt jerky with it and dont jam it in gear u should be fine

They are tuff.

You can upgrade the input shaft to SD size, but the clutch is where you really need to spend the $$$.
