a couple nights ago i did a long burnout, and ever since then, my truck is blowin a lil bitta white smoke at random times.... i checked the oil, it was fine, checked the coolant, it was fine. wasnt makin any weird noises, nothin seemed wrong, wasnt runnin hot, nothin.... i noticed today my EGT's were gettin up to 900 just barely even gettin on it from a red light. i decided to take off my intake tube and wiggle the wheel on the turbo, and sure enough, it was loose. i know its suppose to have a lil bitta play in it, but this was more play than normal, but it wasnt too bad. should i just get the rebuild kit and should that solve it all? by the way, its a HTT 64/14.

I would get it fixed to much and it will start to contact the housing, and it is all downhill from there.

The housing dose not look to bad may just need a new wheel assembly.

Its sad to say but you will probably spend about the same buying his as you would getting yours rebuilt. Just had a buddy get his HTT 66 rebuilt and it was right at 700-800 bucks for the rebuild and a new comp cover.:frusty:

You may want to look into a waste gate if you can get one, they are expensive but it may save you're new turbo from over spinning.
