Was the Venue easy to find? Were the directions good? Didn’t need directions could see it from the interstate
General Admission fees (Gate Fees)
$15 admission that’s for pullers and 2 crew members
Adults $15.00/ Kids 6-12 $7.00, kids under 6 free with paying adult
Hook Fees:
$15
Pay out/ trophies:
Payout through 3rd
Concessions on site:
Yes (but limited burgers and hotdogs only)
Bathrooms available:
Porta-jons separate for men and women
Track condition & consistency of track:
Friday night was muddy and was very rutted up but Saturday was smooth sticky and slick all at the same time (I think from the moisture in the air)
How long is the track:
Full pull is 300ft but probably stopped around 350
Class size when you were there (how many trucks)
I was in work stock and the first night was 6 of us and Saturday was 9 or10
2.8class was 4 Friday and 6 Saturday
How large was the crowd:
Large Friday and humongous sat.
What kind of sled:
Heavy sled to get moving but you can get a descent amount of momentum by the end
Pit area, Was there enough truck/trailer parking:
Friday there was plenty of room but Saturday there was just too many people
Overall atmosphere (did you feel welcome)
These were the friendliest people. Your competition was helping you set up and pack up (if you needed anything they would have it for you even if it affected them)
How was the overall show go (did it run smooth)
Couldn’t ask it to go smoother (they had a game plan a schedule that they went by that was accurate to the minute.)
Would you travel to go back:
Deffinatly
Would you do anything different or give advice to another puller:
Bring a generator and a compressor (others had them but I hate butting in to others prep work) BFG’s and ATZ’s (ATZ’s were the tire for Friday but BFG’s were the tire for Saturday)
It’s a nice all clay track.
Make sure you read all the safety equipment needed and bring as much of it as possible. They will let some slide but will ask you to try to have certain things by the next event.
Also Just remember to have fun!
