Kentucky Outlaw Truck and Tractor Pulling Assoc. (KOTTPA) info will be here

Here's a link to the KOTTPA (http://www.kottpa.com/Web%20Pages/Pages/schedule.htm) site. They put on several pulls throughout the year and also have two diesel truck classes. 2.5 and 2.8. I think they allow twins in their 2.8 class with the atmosphere charger having a an inducer no larger than 2.8. If running a single charger in this class, you can bushing down a larger charger to meet the 2.8 rule. They also allow water/meth in the 2.5 class which neither NKTPA nor WOP do. Otherwise, their rules are very similar to WOP's and NKTPA's.

They are having trouble with getting enough diesels in each class at all their pulls but I think it's more or less because of their location - in the western part of the state - where pulling isn't as prominent. It's really too bad because they have nice rules and a bunch of pulls every year. This is the first year fully sanctioning the 2.8 class and the 2.5 class is a trial class. Hopefully the guys that pull with them faithfully will be able to convince them to hang on to the two diesel classes because they have a good thing going if they will.

Their dates are fairly well set in stone. I had trouble pulling up their schedule on the site BUT if you go to the sticky thread I started that has the link to a calendar, you can check there to find all of them and MANY others. There are plenty! Over 20 hooks this season with KOTTPA alone not to mention the other sanctioning groups and brush pulls that spring up all over the state at county fairs and such.

Hi. I just now registered to this site yesterday. I'm the assistant Class spokesman for the 2.5 Street Diesel class in KOTTPA, and the points leader in both 2.5 Street and the 3.0/2.8 twins Super Street.

Next season we may not have the SuperStreet class as one of our sactioned classes due to the lack of participants. There really just isn't any true Super Street trucks around the area's that we pull, and for those that are there, they do not want to pay the high membership dues, and only be pulling for $300 to win if there is 6 or more in the class. $150 to win if less than 6.

The Street class being a trial class for this season is only a Percentage payback class. Next season I am hoping to have the Payout for the Street class to be $400, $200, $100, and eliminate the 6 trucks or more rule. Also I am working on a deal with the other KOTTPA board members to allow just a $30 hook fee for those who do not wish to join the KOTTPA and run for points. Those that do want to run for points must pay the Membership dues and the hook fee's will only be $20 just how its always been.

The only pulls we have left for the 2008 season are West Liberty, Ky August 23rd, Edmonton Ky September 6th, and Brownsville, Ky September 26th. Hopefully we can get a few more booked before the year is up.

I'll try to keep you guys posted up to date with the KOTTPA from now on since I finally made it over to this site.
