Today I passed Kyle 6.0 red ford and he did the polite thing and puffed a little smoke as we passed each other (By the way glad to see he put his stack back on). The reason for this post is when you blow smoke as you pass other diesel trucks why does there smoke stink but you could beath your own all day long.

When a D'max passes and you smell the smoke, it's a "so that how horespower smells" thing. You don't smell it often, but when you do, it will stick with you.

haha now heres something funny and i never got why but whenever i started up my old black 89 cummins it always smelled like i was running red fuel no matter what and i use to run red fuel all the time and got yelled at at texico one night haha but i changed the filters everything and ran low sulfer for a couple months and still smelled like off road!
but i noticed cummins smell different then duramaxs and powerstorkes and vice versa!

Fords stink regardless! The old Internationals and the new ones too. I love the smell of diesel smoke... but that funk coming out of those Fords is just foul. Like the truck Sh!t it out or something!

Thats because of the DPF. I think the fords also run some sort of charcoal filter that causes thier stinch!

I think puffed is an understatement. We pretty much blacked out Fruitville road. I had the stack off because I went up to NY and didnt want to listen to it for 23 hours with a trailer on the back. Its back on now though.
