Thanks Jared,
Location of pull: Oakboro NC
Sanctioning Body (Who’s Rules): Catpa
Was the Venue easy to find? Were the directions good?
It is pretty easy to find and I got the directions from map quest
General Admission fees (Gate Fees) Adult $7 Kids 6-12 $4
Hook Fees: $10 (I believe)
Pay out/ trophies: No payouts and sometimes there are trophies
Concessions on site: Yes, Too many!
Bathrooms available: Port-o-lets
Track condition & consistency of track: Sticky red clay and usually very consistent
How long is the track? I think at 350ft you hit the fence
Class size when you were there (how many trucks) 10-15 trucks
How large was the crowd: Very large crowd
What kind of sled: Old, heavy sled
Pit area, was there enough truck/trailer parking: More than enough room
Overall atmosphere (did you feel welcome) A very welcoming atmosphere
How was the overall show go (did it run smooth) Its not perfect but not too bad
Would you travel to go back? I would it’s a good place to learn and test.
Would you do anything different or give advice to another puller: I hope you like slow antique tractors!
