The difference is, one was built a year later than the other.:D

Funny, honestly, I do not know. Other that some minor fixes, that were covered by tech bulletins for 2005, not really sure.

Seems to me the 2006 cummins have a little more power to start with. Yes the only year dodge went to the plastic intercooler was the 05s. They must have come to know it was a mistake because they change back in one year.

In 05, some intercooler ends had plastic ends, some did not. I swapped everything from my 05 to my 06. Even the injectors were a direct swap.

Injectors we the same. The differences are really between the early 05's and 05.5. Early 05's had the 325hp/600trq engines were as the 05.5-07's have the 325hp 610 engines. Same goes for the intercoolers aswell, but they didn't go back to the aluminum intercoolers untill around Oct. 05 right before the 06 models went into production. To tell the difference between the 600 and 610 engines, look at the injector harness connectors. The 600 Series will have 3 square plugins, we as the 610 series will have 2 rectangular plugins. Also the tranny's were swapped int 05.5 from the NV5600 (BIG HEAVY CAST IRON S.O.B.) to the G56 Aluminum case 6spds.
