I justgot the chassy in the garage saturday night and sunday we started putting the GTS fiberglass body for mock up so we can make the frame work for the body.We have a 5.9 cummins,3sp Profab,Big Rockwell with planetteries,Twin turbo's,2007Dodge Ram GTS fiber glassbody.4 disk clutch can.Nipendenso injection pump.

no doubt..ive hung race car bodies and its a pain..they dont even flip!

This was our first one T realy wasn't that bad i was alittle afraid pushing and prying ong on the fiberglassI was worried about breacking it but Dan works with it all day long he works a bodyshop in the boat repair and painting he mostly does the paint and graphicks I found out that fiberglass is pretty damm tuff.We even have the driver's door open and shut.

A couple more picture we got some work done this week and weekend.the dash made and mounted and stearing shafts made and installed,New brake disk made and installed.picked up the clutch peddle and master cylinder assy bolted in and 2 brake peddle and master cylinders and got them in also.picked up a 1"x8 7/8"x29" for the front frame rail this will have the name of the truck ingraved in it.we also got the skid bars done for the front so if the front end comes down to hard and breaks of a spindle the skid bar will protect the body and dont't alow the front axle to dig in the dirt.
We got the rear drive shaft loops finnished this last week also.and put new seals in the planiteiries they are damm heavey.
and the side consol done for the switchs and for the leavers for the airshut off,emerg,fuel shut off and return,and the pump fuel kill,and battery tray's done and on,Alsogot the Snow pump mouned and the FASS pump mounted

Thanks for the kind words.I do get kind of picky on some things just wait till you see all the alluminum polished:eek: you will need sunglasses to see under the body.It will have more shinny stuff than my daily driver.1975 for with a 6.0 Perkins twin turboed.

No sir it is a Perkins deisel they are made in England and owned by Cat,It is a inline 6..lot of TQ.I get 25+mpg :D

thats as sick as my brother putting a 02 powerstroke in his 86 gas dually....wasnt quite set up for it but it werks real well for him. saved all the electronics too.

A good thing about my swap I don't have any electronics I like that all manual.

Thanks it is taking longer know because we have to make smaller parts and detail them. in 2weeks it is all coming apart so my sonilaw can paint it he is going to sand blast the frame first.The paint and grafics is all up to him.

We got the tank back this morning from haveing it welded back together from putting the devider in to make 2 tanks
One for fuel and one for water. and have 9 bungs put in.Now I need to get my but in gear and get it polished along with the rest of the alluminum parts.

polishing is the worst...it seems to never end. But the right tools make the job so much better!

I use to do it for a side line.I have all the tools and big buffer for the job.Polishing is probibly tha cheapest thing to do on the truck for me except for the wear and tear on my body.

We weighed it friday sofore she is at 4360 lb with out a driver.We got the twins on still have to make the cold piping have to get some elbow and pipe to finnish the cold side.and get the in take made for the head.This week we are going to stip all the stuff off of the fram it is going toget sand plasted thursday and painted this week end.I finnally got some pictures of the truck out of the garage.the front clip looks real long for only being 6" in.longer but haveing the front axle soclose to the front and the wheel well were it is does't help either.

here is just a few things I got polished the fuel tank isn't done had to take a break.it is hard to hold up wairs you out fast hold something up to the buffer that size.The hand throttle leaver turned out good.

what classes/organizations are you planning on running with? mod diesels, blower 2wds?

NADM mod class sofore We would like to run with the blown 2wd big boy's if they would let us don't know if we could keep up with them.we would like to trysome time.
We are hopeing that more people would start to build one like our's so we can have a class of our own someday.

we got the body back on the chassy yesterday and cleaned up the garage and my son and his buddy put new plywood on the folddown door on the inclosed trailer.still haven heard from the machine shop.We also built a push pull towbar so we can pull are push the 2wd around in the pits and in and out of the garage and driveway.Taking today off to spend it with the wife.going to hit it hard this week on polishing the rest of the alluminum part and putting parts back on the truck.:)

The rear weight box under the rearend housing the name is sprayed with pearl with medaflake you can only see it when the light hits it in the sunn looks cool.

Rear tail lights are paint with black base and top of with clear with red metalflake in it and then cleard again.

We got the block and head back from the machine shop going to have them back from MCS this tuesday he is fire ringing the block and head for me.I have to finnish up polishing the rods and have them shoot peened.Orderd the valves and keepers using my valve spring and retainer off of my bbc aluminum head off of my minirod I had. trying to save money any way I can.
