I am working with Diane Tipton(DP-Tuner) to get up a Diesel Event At our Pull site in White Plains, GA. Dyno That Day and Sled pulling that Night! Ok I know have a question about Rules and classes for the Pulling. We normally don't have enough Diesel trucks to run a 2.6, 2.8 Class. We just have a run what you brung street class and modified class(cut tires). There will possibly be payout classes. I would like to know what kind of classes and rules would draw in the most people from the Southeast. I know we would have a 7,500 and 8,500lb classes but I want some division with those weights.

2.6 class would draw the most Florida trucks for sure. I would run a Stock Diesel (no hanging weights and stock turbo) then a 2.6 class. (up to a 2.6 turbo and hanging weights allowed) both classes capped at 8,000lbs.

What part of Ga. Would this take place?

It would take place in Middle Georgia. Near Athens, GA. Our website is www.libertyantiquetractorpull.com[URL="http://www.libertyantiquetractorpull.com"]. The reason we go to 8,500lb is that we have a good many Ford Super Duty Crew Cabs that pull. I know my 7.3(retired from pulling) weighs in at 8,300lb empty and a buddies 6.0 weighs in around that. I know the Dodges and Chevy can make 8,000lb. That is a good idea about the 2.6 and stock. I was kindof thinking that route also. I would like to draw as many trucks as we can to this pull.

IMO you wont get a lot of trucks that pull in the 2.6 class and up at 8500lbs. They all weigh in at 8000lbs for pulling. If you want a 8500lbs class make it for the stock class.

I have friends in Commerce with a shop and all the tools I would need if I break so an Athens pull would be great! I'd go for sure!!!

Its our sled that we own. It is a self propelled speed sled. We also have a speed display to show your MPH going down the track. Here is a video of Jody's truck pulling our sled http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2efbk9q_BvA
