There is a truck pull on April 18 in Cecilton Maryland. I believe that tech opens at 11 and the pull starts at 1 but will find out for sure. It is open to gas and diesel trucks. Hope to see you there. If you need any info or directions just let me know.

Did they have a double hook rule there this year? I think they talking about it last year!

hands down worst pull i have ever been to.

the rebel sled should be sold for scrap or given to someone with some pride who is willing to repair and maintain it so that it can make it through a whole pull without breaking.

Come to think about it, it broke last year too. I remember it raining, waiting on it to be fixed.

it wasn't fixed this time, they just kept pulling.

the pan couldn't be raised, it was down from the start meaning it was HEAVY from the launch. the stock diesel class was going 20-80' and i think maybe 1 or 2 broke 100'.

all that spinning on the line trying to get going just tore the track to pieces, so now it was a super heavy sled on a loose track. by the end of the night they had disabled the weight box and the open diesel class (which i left before they pulled) was pulling 200-300' without the weightbox coming up for them, that was just the weight of the sled. let me add that about 15 trucks after the pan broke the tranny/motor had issues and they had to revert to the painfully slow process of hooking a tractor to the sled and pulling it back to the start line.

the pull started at 2 and they had to bring in rescue trucks with light towers to finish the pull. the Cecilton VFD guys are awesome and did everything they could to make the best of the situation but I seriously hope that sled falls into a sinkhole or something.

I did get 2nd place in the modified diesel class with a 162' pull. All i can say is damn was I slinging some dirt...i have a half inch of the track in the bed of my truck.

he is NOT bashing "their" (cvfd) pull. he is bashing the sled.

i am in total agreement with TJ. heck i drove 3 hrs to that pull and packed up my truck and went home when i saw what was happening in the stock diesel class.

CVFD are a good bunch of people. i talked to a few of them. and its real cool of them to put on an event. us here on the east coast have a hard enough time finding hooks period. but that sled is pitiful.
