I've seen this happen several times. Why does this happen and how? What exactly breaks?

Quite a bit can break & there are a ton of reasons. Could be it gets hopping so bad something has to give, lack of maintenance or just over stressed. Usually it's u-joints that let go. If is mechanical it can break :D

The Chevy/GMC's are notorious for this! Why is that? Too much power???

HMMM MY IFS WON ME LOOOOTS OF TIMES OVER THE PAST 10YRS W/LOTS OF HP UNDER THE HOOD & NEVER BROKE UNTIL THE VERY LAST PULL B4 IT WAS GETTING TAKEN OUT!!!
MAYBE THATS B/C ITS A FORD.... OR B/C IT HAD A GOOD DRIVER!, HMMMM !!:pound:

Notice the gm pullers toe in? notice mine does not nor did freighttrain. It's front end geometry & proper parts. The mod pullers would prefer IFS the just can't take 1200 hp & 2500+ft lbs of torque. There are parts being made though. I have tested a few already :nod:

I know, I always hear of the straight axle trucks swapping to IFS. Its a common Practice for the hard core 4x4's. :D
