Default MAN or AUTO FOR PULLIN TRUCK

I'm looking for your input. I'm building a pullin truck was wondering if i should use auto or man trans. I have the truck just needs motor,trans & T case

manual is better for pulling a load on a long haul. Sled pulling you need ground speed. No one can shift as fast as a auto then when u get to the end of the track a automatic will down shift to give you that extra little bite of length

look in to a pro fab reverser transmission i think they are manual shift.i am gathering info on them as we speak.I honestly dont know alot about them now but i do know most of the big time pullers use them.and you can buy one for under $2500 a full built auto is bout $6000.go to the pro fab web sight for more info.
