Scheid Rules -

Work Stock 2.6

Street Stock 2.8

There are more, but this is really the only 2 classes any of us would be running.

Thanks Wayne, I just read the NADM rules. Glad they made them seperate from the drag rules. Going to page 19 sucked...LOL. My truck fits, it hasn't changed from when we were at Merchant.

The only thing we have to do is build the new hitch plate, since 3" only works at small pulls. Once you leave Florida, or Keith's pulls, 3" won't work. The hook will fit in, but it get's stuck.

These are the rules. I know of one flat bed that pulls at this event and he said he is going back. Truck too short what does that mean?

The only thing I could think of would be the distance of your hitch from the centerline of your rear axle. I don't know why any truck would be considered too short as longer wheelbase trucks have the advantage. For the last two years I have helped line up trucks and check hitch height at the TS Event. This is the first year that Schied has been involved so I doubt I will be working but that is cool cause I'd rather watch or pull.

Didn't you shorten your frame, or just a bed crop?

Man Law-77. A man should be able to determine a diesel engine by sound alone.

I had a nine foot flat bed(work truck) when I made it shorter(the bed) I cut off two pieces off the frame that hold the stock hitch on. They were bent from when the stock hitch bent. But this isnt part of the frame it was a rearward bracket. I could have left it and wouldn't make a difference. This still wouldn't be what they are talking about because it didnt shorten the truck the entire lenth of the frame is still there. What if I would have bought a short bed? Is the distance from the axle to the back on a short bed and a long bed the same? What about ford dodge chevy and year to year body style all the same? All this could be solved if the rules specify hooking point to center of rear axle. I said when we made the rules this is how it should be done. So if the rules say furthest point back then I am within the rules.
