Default My D.A. Tranny

Yea thats right my tranny was built in house here at Diesel Addiction in NC. No problems at all 1058 converter with all the goodies inside I'm sure a few other guys will tell you about theirs built here too. A built transmission is unreal the first time you really get to lay into it. If you haven't had it done its the best upgrade you can do to your truck. I hear they can mail order them now too

What did you do? Shift kit and TC? What kind of internals were used... clutches, steels? Billet Shafts?

I have a Diesel Addiction built SC IV with billet shafts, the DA tricks, T-case brace and pump rub fix and I love it. Sled pull and drag race weekends and drive it like I stole it daily. I have also heard that they can mail order them.

Depends on how bullet proof you want to build it. Unfortunately the 727 torqueflite parts don't fit the allison and the allison parts cost quite a bit more. I think that certain companies are a huge rip off for built trans.

True... the Alli is not even in the same ballpark as a 727. The 47re you are referring to (I think) is however!
