The "best" is up for debate. If I was looking for a simple hanheld programmer, I think I would go with PPE.

Do you have to reprogram it when you want to change the level or can you do it on the fly?

Easiest to use and decent power. Its for my paw in law and he doesnt have a clue. When im not around he pulls a 35 ft. gooseneck with tractors and mowers

You can't change on the fly, but IMO, PPE is the way to go.

PPE, but no change on the go. i know a guy that was happy with the edge and A2 monitor on his dirty max and he was pretty happy for a basic shift on the fly dealio.

I would skip the programmer and go with EFI live, you can do a dsp switch and be able to change the tunes

Then you can have a tow, race, sled pull tune
