When it rains it pours! Anybody have any idea why the o-ring on top of the fuel filter would keep popping out after about 30 minutes of driving? I think it might have something to do with the return line

Kind of sounds like your building a little too much pressure in there for some reason.

if you get a new filter, does it come with an o-ring? the one for my fuhord does, maybe try that. also like kyle said maybe too much pressure also. Do you have an adjustable lift pump? what years your truck? VP44?

If the oring is shot and just sloppy loose like a 14th street.....ummmm worker.....on friday night, maybe thats why its popping out.

I was told (i dont have one i could be wrong) that a VP44 truck doesnt like too much pressure, so if you have an adjustable pump turned way up, try backing it off some.

DUH i just realized its in the 12 valve section, so the pump thing goes out the window, but it still could be building too much pressure for what the oring can handle, if the o-ring or the assembly that its in is worn out. Def try calling Jr, and he should be able to help ya out!

The stud that the filter screws on somehow came loose and was vibrating down. All it took was a allen wrench! Thanks for the help guys
