Default 7.3l turbo diesel ?'s

Can u put a 7.3 turbocharged diesel into a 1985 f250 and '85 f350 plus a 6sp tranny? What would i have to do?

You can but it wouldnt be easy. You would likely need a complete donor truck to make sure you have all the wiring and sensors. Youd be much better off doing a 12v Cummins swap as all the parts for that conversion are redily available and the cummins only needs 3 wires to run.

my brother put a 2001 powerstroke out of a wrecked cab /chassis into an 85 dually that had a 460 in i think...gasser v8 anyways..fer real it was in a mag after the conv ..was a hell of a project...

he has done it if ya really wanna know the scoop lemme know. the ecm part was the worst..he had a custom one built

Yea the fuel system. wire harness ECM, IDM, and everything would have to swap over including the dash cluster. You would be putting everything from an OBDII truck into one that was before OBDII
