as long as you do it correctly, and dont get too much heat, youll be fine. What I mean is, weld a little, break, weld some more....

What about it? Spring perches, flanges, shock mounts, tubes, etc. have all been welded to axles.

ive welded lots of brackets to axle housings and have never seen any problems. just glue'r to'er

i welded a little, moved to another. welded a little, moved to another. went around in a circle until i was done. they have take a good beating so far.
getting up this required a lot of articulation as i went at an angle and no problem. not to mention the repeated flogging it all night(burnouts, donuts, hard launches, off roading). im happy so far. Garrett

Whenever I have had any spring mounts moved on a rear housing it was done with a fixture to make sure a true alignment through the housing was maintained. |
