My driveshaft.....i believe my lift plus HP has something to do with that! I would be on my 3rd driveshaft if i pulled a sled 4 or 5 times EVERY thursday. My dually didnt break a single thing racing but the rear end broke pulling weight and the tranny broke pulling a gooseneck. Before I did my tranny upgrade, my truck made about 10 full passes down the strip. When I took TQ management off then it only lasted 3 more passes. I have been to truck pulls and have seen carnage and I have been to the strip and seen it also. You cant say one is safer than the other. Racing is driving for a 1/4 empty as fast as you can. Sled Pulling is pulling a VERY heavy sled and in some cases , adding more weight on the truck, and pulling 300ft as fast as you can while all this weight is trying to stop you. My brakes stop me at the end of the track and not a sled. They dont require driveline loops at the strip but they do while pulling? HMM......
George has same lift as solo with 22's and 38's He has broken 3 shafts pulling and 2 racing. just my .02
